Do Affirmations work?

Do you use affirmations?

I used to be quite cynical about them.. After all , how can repeating something you don’t really believe help?

I think the thing is, that you need to at least be willing to suspend disbelief, like when we read a book or watch a film, it’s often easier to buy into a universe where everything is magical, since you can’t really argue
”Well, that would never happen!”

(Not that that stops arguments on the interweb amongst superfans discussing the minutiae of whether something is canon, or works within previously established rules of that universe/multiverse etc)

We are bombarded with information, and our thoughts can get stuck in negative loops.. So why not replace some of that noise with something positive..

Maybe we can even reprogram our minds to start focusing on health, wealth and abundance, rather than illness, lack and fear…
