Steve East – Clarity Coaching

You’re doing fine on the outside. Inside, your mind doesn’t really switch off.

You keep thinking the same thoughts, worrying about the same things — but knowing that doesn’t seem to help. You’re not sure how to think differently, or how to just… stop.

Start with a free conversation.

THE PROBLEM

You’ve probably always been someone who figures things out. You push through, you cope, you get on with it.

And mostly that works. Except when it doesn’t.

Maybe you’re tired more than you should be. Maybe you’re snapping at people you care about. Maybe you’re lying awake at 2am, mind going over the same things on repeat — not solving anything, just… going.

You know it’s not helpful. Knowing that doesn’t stop it.

The problem isn’t that you’re not trying hard enough. It’s that the pattern itself hasn’t changed.

WHAT WE DO

We start with a conversation. You tell me what’s going on — how it feels, what happens, what you’ve tried.

From there I’m listening for the pattern underneath it. The way you’re framing things, the pictures you’re making in your head, the responses that have become automatic.

Then we start to change them. Not by analysing endlessly, but by actually rehearsing different ways of thinking and responding — using visualisation, language, and techniques drawn from hypnotherapy and NLP.

Most people expect something more dramatic. One long-term client still calls the hypnosis part “relaxation” — he was surprised when I mentioned that’s what we’d been doing. It tends to feel more like a good conversation that somehow leaves you thinking differently.

Most people don’t expect to enjoy it. That’s usually the first surprise.

Most people expect it to take a long time. It usually doesn’t. A phobia that’s been there for years can shift in a session or two. Patterns that have felt fixed for decades can start to move faster than you’d think.

But the most interesting work often starts after that.

Once the thing that’s been blocking you is gone, there’s space to work on something more — how you want to feel, how you want to operate, what you actually want from your life. A lot of clients come to fix a problem and end up staying because they’re enjoying the process of building on it.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This works best for people who feel like their mind is getting in the way.

That might look like a specific thing — a phobia, a habit, anxiety that’s crept in. Or it might be more general — not feeling present, not feeling at your best, knowing you could do more but not quite getting there.

Some people come with something very specific to fix. Others come because life has got harder and they want support staying positive and moving forward.

What they tend to have in common is that they’re ready to actually do something about it — not just think about it.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Before anything else, we have a free conversation.
You tell me what’s going on, I explain how I work, and we figure out together if it’s a good fit. No obligation and no hard sell.

If it makes sense to work together, there are two ways we can do that:

Sort It Out — from $1,200
A focused block of sessions to tackle the specific thing bringing you in. A fear, a phobia, anxiety, overthinking, a habit that’s holding you back. We work on it until it shifts. Most people are surprised how quickly that happens.

Build On It — from $650/month (minimum 3 months)
Ongoing monthly coaching once the immediate issue is clear.
This is where we work on how you want to feel, how you operate, and what you actually want from your life. Sessions plus support between them. I’ll challenge you, give you things to work on, and occasionally point out what you’re not seeing — but always in your corner.

One thing worth saying: you work directly with me. Not a programme, not a video series, not an assistant. Just a straightforward conversation with someone who’s been doing this for over 20 years and genuinely enjoys it.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“Before working with Steve, my mind was always overworking. I had a hard time detaching from work and was often worrying about the future. His techniques have helped me be more present in the moment and allowed me to be a better father. This has significantly improved my quality of life.”

“I went in looking for help with confidence and some pretty heavy brain fog that had been getting in the way of day to day life. Steve made the whole session feel relaxed and easy to open up. He explained things in a way that actually made sense and helped me understand what was going on in my head instead of just feeling stuck. I’d happily recommend giving Steve a try.”

“I just came back from my trip and I wanted to thank you — I did much better on the flights. I used your techniques and listened to the relaxation audio and it helped me a lot. I surely did much much better than last time.”

ABOUT STEVE

I started learning about NLP and hypnosis because I needed it myself.
At the time I wasn’t feeling very happy, and my approach of chain smoking and drinking wasn’t exactly helping for some reason.

I came across Paul McKenna’s ‘Change Your Life in 7 Days’ and the exercises actually worked — I started to feel better and see things differently. That sent me down a rabbit hole of finding the most effective ways I could to help people feel happier, have more fun, and become more successful.

I’ve had my own periods of anxiety and low mood over the years, so I’m not coming to this from the outside. I also believe in using whatever helps — therapy, coaching, medication, all of it — without being precious about any one approach.

Since then I’ve trained extensively in hypnotherapy, NLP, and related fields, and worked with clients across a wide range of situations — from phobias and anxiety to confidence, performance, pain management, and just feeling stuck.

I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. I’ve trained with and assisted some of the best people in the field. But honestly, what I care about most is that the work actually helps — and that the process is as easy and enjoyable as possible.

I don’t believe you need to re-live painful experiences or spend years in therapy to change. In my experience, change can happen faster than most people expect — and it should feel more like a good conversation than hard work.
